What a wonderful turn-out we had to our Rally to Save Carss Park Pool on Saturday 19th January 2019!
Over 200 local residents, pool swimmers and gym members attended. The audience heard speeches from spokespeople from the Save Carss Park Pool team, Dick Caine, Chris Minns MP (Labor Member for Kogarah), Mark Coure MP (Liberal Member for Oatley), and it even attracted the unannounced attendance of Clr Con Hindi (Liberal Councillor of Georges River Council) and Chris Gambian (Federal Labor Candidate for Banks) who were also invited to speak. All of the speakers, both Labor and Liberal, supported the pool’s preservation.
The afternoon was capped off with further comments and questions from various audience members, a unanimous vote to keep Carss Park Pool open for current and future generations, and a group photo to demonstrate to the world just how passionate and united we Carss Park Pool supporters are!

We now have 4,962 online petition signatures, so if you haven’t signed yet now’s the time to get us over the line of 5,000!
The speakers emphasised the importance of making submissions directly to the Georges River Council before the 1st of March* (Changed to 7th April*) and the importance of attending council meetings in the future when Carss Park Pool is on the agenda.
Please keep an eye out for public meetings and council meetings in the future as it is very important to show your support in person.
Chris Minns has computers at his office available for members of the public who don’t have their own internet access, to enable them to make submissions on this important issue. He also has paper petitions that you can sign or distribute.
Thank you Chris!
