We first heard that the Georges River Council were considering changes to Carss Park Pool earlier this year (2018). Since then developments have indicated that most of the council doesn’t want to keep the pool (possibly covering it with a car park), or they want to put it in a different location, or convert this noble 50 metre outdoor Olympic Pool into an inferior smaller 25 metre indoor pool. But there are many in the community who have strong connections with the pool and want it saved in its best form in its current location. This website will help to spread awareness, bring people together, and gather momentum to ensure this iconic pool remains available for generations to come. This may take a long time and a lot of effort, but “with teamwork we can make a dream work”. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
